Plant Care Guide - Orchid

The orchid is an elegant houseplant with beautiful flowers that can bloom for a long time. With its serene and luxurious appearance, the orchid is a real eye-catcher in any interior.

This plant originally comes from tropical regions in Asia and often grows on trees there, so it is accustomed to warm temperatures and a bright environment.

Care

Watering

Water requirements are low to moderate. Water approximately once a week by briefly submerging the roots. Afterward, let the plant drain thoroughly to prevent water from remaining in the pot.

Light requirement

The orchid likes plenty of indirect light. Place it in a bright spot, but avoid direct sunlight, as this can damage the leaves and flowers.

Humidity & Temperature

The orchid likes an average to high humidity and a temperature between 18 and 25°C. Avoid drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Nutrition

During the flowering period, feed your orchid with special orchid food once every 2 to 4 weeks. Less food is needed during dormant periods.

Soil & repotting

Use special orchid soil (bark) instead of regular potting soil. Repot the plant once every few years or when the bark has decomposed.
